Hexagonal Base Pop-Up Card – Free Tutorial

Hi and welcome to AddINKtive Designs. Today I’m sharing a 3D card that I made which combines some of my favourite, old and new products; the Window Box Thinlits from SU are certainly a blast from the past.

I’ve tweaked my version of Jay Soriano’s Hexagonal Base Pop-Up Card once again to create this ‘box card’ full of blooms for three card challenges.

The optional March Mood Board for the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge (Anything Florals) was the main source of inspiration for my project …

Mood Board #15

… which I discovered through the latest collaborative challenge at Double Trouble

I’m playing along with Challenge #162 – Thing 1 and Thing 2 (but not the optional Easter Theme component) to use a favourite floral image (in my case, my favourite Etched Flower Dies from Paper Rose) and to combine with the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge –

Challenge #162

7th April – Thanks so much for choosing my card in the Top 3 at Double Trouble Challenges.

When I can, I absolutely LOVE to enter the latest challenge at Creative Creases – Anything Goes with a Fun Fold. The only other requirement (not a deal breaker) is there should be some stamping involved (in my case, the sentiment). So I’ve entered my Hexagonal Base Pop-Up Card for Challenge #78. Thanks, ladies for your inspiration (you speak my love language when it comes to card making).

Phew! If you’ve stuck with me up until this point you’ll be pleased to know that I’ve written a short tutorial for my latest version of a Hexagonal Base Pop-Up Card made from the Window Box Thinlits. You will need those retired dies to make this fun fold so if you still have them in your stash, or can purchase them on-line through a second-hand market site, this tutorial is for YOU!
