A ‘Mini Pocket Envelope’ Box Card for Colour INKspiration #161

Hello and welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenge #161 (one day early).

We have a beautiful, inspiration picture for our latest colour challenge; the colour palette that it inspired, however, is a little ‘interesting’. I have to admit that I don’t really like any of the colours that much, so in the true sense of the word, it was indeed a challenge for me.

You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month (on the second and fourth Wednesdays).

The challenge for CI#161 is to make a paper craft project using all the colours from the chosen colour combination, Melon Mambo, Moody Mauve and Garden Green; you can also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic Black or Metallics to your project. We also allow ‘skin tones’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest substitute you can find using any brand of products.

I decided to make a Box Card from the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies and fill it with beautiful paper blooms die-cut from the Paper Florist Dies.

It’s based on my ‘Sentimental Park’ Mini Pocket Envelope Box Card Tutorial (see link at the end of the post); however, I’ve tweaked this version a little by extending the blooms a bit higher, therefore needing a much larger envelope than usual (approx. 6″ square).

The sentiment on the back of the box card is from Season of Chic and the Moody Mauve DSP is from the 2023-2025, In Color 6×6, pack.

To finish off my project I stamped the square envelope (non-SU) with some Moody Mauve flowers from the Sentimental Park Stamp Set.

Well … I would never have thought of putting these colours together but there you have it … and I’m pretty happy with the end result.
