Hexagonal Vase Pop-Up Card for Colour INKspiration #144

Hello and welcome to another fun Colour INKspiration Challenge!

You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month (on the second and fourth Wednesdays) and what a ‘delicious’ colour combo we have this round.

The challenge for CI#144 is to make a paper craft project using all the colours from the chosen colour combination, Bubble Bath, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lolly, Parakeet Party and Azure Afternoon; you may also add Basic White, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black or Metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Tahitian Tide instead of Azure Afternoon)

My card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire’s Pop-Up Vase Cards that she made a few different ways using a set of dies; I thought I’d make a hexagonal vase card that didn’t require specialty dies, using my own set of measurements. The card I made for my daughter’s recent birthday was constructed in a similar way using the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies (an on-line exclusive product). If you’re interested, you can see that version in the previous post.

I cracked open my new Paper Florist Dies to create a vase of flowers for a sympathy card that I’ll give to a friend whose husband recently passed away. I also used a few different die-cuts from other sets and stamps to add some variety to the mix (see labels at the top of the post).
