Way to Grow – A Tent Card for Colour INKspiration #142

Hello and welcome to another Colour INKspiration Challenge!

You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month (on the second and fourth Wednesdays).

The challenge for CI#142 is to make a paper craft project using all the colours from the chosen colour combination, Soft Succulent, Shaded Spruce and Smoky Slate; you may also add Basic White, Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Basic Black or Metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Basic Gray instead of Smoky Slate)

Well, I have Smoky Slate but for some reason I had it in my head that the third colour for the challenge was actually Basic Gray so I apologise for the ‘boo boo’.

I made this card for my daughter to congratulate her on making the decision to concentrate solely on growing her videography business this year (She has quite a few pot plants in her office in town).

I used a photo editing program to adjust the colour and … voila … Basic Gray becomes Smoky Slate! So the photo on the right gives you a bit of an idea of what my card would have looked like if I’d used the correct colour combo.

Like what you see? Any of the products for today’s Colour INKspiration card can be purchased from the Australian Stampin’ Up! ® on-line store. Just click on the link below to take you there (Australian residents only) and you can choose me (Bronwyn Eastley) as your Demonstrator. Thanks in advance.

INKspired to join the challenge? It’s so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations from the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. This challenge will run for almostweeks; you have until Monday, 8th May, 7pm (AEST) to make and upload your project to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don’t have to have a blog to participate but if you do, you can link back to your post –

This card design is based on my Tent Card Tutorial below but I used the retired, Window Flower Box Dies to create the front opening instead of a Stitched Rectangle Die.
