Playing with Brusho Crystal Backgrounds

Hello and welcome to AddINKtive Designs.

My lovely friend, Lynne, came over today for a ‘Lavinia’ stamping session. We both checked out a couple of instructional videos on You Tube and pottered around in my craft room trying out a few ideas that sparked our interest.

I was inspired by a video that I had watched last night (it might actually have been in the early hours of the morning here in Australia). Anyhow, I digress; It was a Technique Tuesday instructional video by Jo Rice for Lavinia Stamps and I was keen to get out my very neglected Brusho Crystals to have a play.

This sort of stamping is way outside my comfort zone but I had an absolute blast trying out something a bit different from my usual 3D card making.

Mae

The slimline version featuring ‘Mae’ was created on some watercolour paper and the ‘Wild Hares’ card was done on some Shimmery White Cardstock (I think I’m more of a fan of the Shimmery White as a base).

The background on the slimline card was a little wild for my liking and I tried to do the best that I could to resurrect it from a point of ‘no return’.

Too much of the Brusho Crystal background was covered up on the second card with my enthusiastic approach towards stamping the foliage. Nevertheless, I loved every minute of our crafting session today and I’m really looking forward to future stamping sessions with Lynne.

Wild Hares

And before I get bombarded with 50 questions, yes, I’m still a Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrator but I’m also a huge fan of Lavinia Stamps.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
