A 60th Birthday Card from H2 Designs

Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have an amazing card to share with you. ‘Amazing’ is just one of the many adjectives I could use to describe how absolutely awesome this birthday card is. It’s from my lovely friend, Helen, from H2 Designs.

Helen doesn’t blog these days but she gave me permission to share this gorgeous card that she’d made for my upcoming birthday. Seriously, my jaw just hit the floor when I opened up the parcel to discover this very personalised card inside.

I was impressed by the glamorous and much younger version of myself, not to mention the selection of 3D cards displayed on the shelves, the pot plant and the balloon (on a spring), the butterfly easel card in my hand … squeal! … and the handwritten miniature birthday card inside the envelope on the craft desk! Wow! There’s so much attention to detail.

Helen was recently holidaying in Tassie with a mutual friend and all three of us did a day trip to Bev’s Cross Crafts at Spreyton, had lunch at Anvers (a local chocolate factory and restaurant) and finished off the day shopping at Ashcraft in Launceston. It was a great day out. Apparently when Helen returned to Lynne’s place, inspiration struck and she drew up this ‘mock design’ of my birthday card.

Then, when she returned home to Melbourne, her idea went from a sketch to this amazing piece of papercraft engineering …

I know right … Helen is one seriously, talented and creative lady and this card will take pride of place in my craft room ‘forever’.

  1. Amazing doesn’t say enough about the talent this lovely, cute card shows. You are blessed to have friends that are as talented as you. Happy 60th Birthday. I hope you keep creating for 60 more.

  2. Oh my goodness! That is absolutely amazing. So much tiny detail. Helen did the most fabulous job – a super special card for a super special lady. I had better go back to the drawing board!

  3. I knew as soon as I saw this card, who’d made it! I am lucky to have this incredibly talented woman as a friend, and creator of art pieces that adorn my craft room, too. Such a special card for your milestone birthday, Bron.
