Blackberry Beauty Lollipop Cards

Hello and welcome to my blog. Seven months ago I started designing for the Dirty Dozen Design Team at Splitcoaststampers. The September theme challenge for Fan Club Members was Popping In (CT0921).

Projects could include any of the following ideas –
Pop up elements on your card with dimensional foam tape
Make a pop-up card
Create in a pop art style
Make a card featuring… soda pop, lollipop, popcorn, father/grandfather
Be inspired by the lyrics of a favorite pop song
Tutorials to try: any Pop-Up card, Poppin’ Pearls/Pastels, Altered Pop Top Can, Pop Stars

I’ve always wanted to make a Lollipop Card so thought this was a great opportunity to try one out.

The retired, SU Rosette Die was quite large so I cut the die-cut paper in half and made two Lollipop Cards using the gorgeous Blackberry Beauty DSP (July-December, 2021, ‘Holiday’ Mini Catalogue) –

1. Blackberry Beauty Lollipop Card

2. Blackberry Butterfly Lollipop Card

I opted to use Bamboo Straws purchased from my local Woolworth’s Grocery Store for the ‘Lollipop Stick’.

If you’re interested in making one yourself, just do a search for Lollipop Cards – there are so many ideas out there. I didn’t write a tutorial for mine as I chose to use some retired products that best suited this style of card.

You’re probably wondering why it’s taken so long for me to share my DT projects on my blog. Simple answer – All the project shares had to be exclusive to the Fan Club Gallery for a period of 6 months.  Today’s cards are the second and third in the series of six for the Popping In Theme. Be sure to come back tomorrow to check out my next one!
