G’day Fri’yay’ Card Making Challenges – Ochre Paint Colours

Welcome to AddINKtive Designs and another G’day Fri’yay’ Card Making Challenge.

You can find the Aussie themed challenges in a private group on Facebook and we’d love you to join in. All you have to do is make a NEW paper craft project inspired by the CURRENT theme, take a photo of your project and upload it to the group.

You can use any brand of paper craft products. There’s no Design Team and no ‘winners’ announced each fortnight. It’s all about having fun and encouraging creativity.

Tonight’s theme is about the ‘earthy’ OCHRE PAINT COLOURS used in Indigenous Art.

The Designer Squares, Aboriginal Design Patterned Paper by Jijaka was perfect for this challenge. I chose the earthy coloured pieces and put a different design on each panel of my Gatefold 3D Card.

The very ‘Aussie’ sentiment is from a Couture Creations Stamp Set called Fair Dinkum Sentiments.

Today’s card base is the same as the Gatefold, Double Box Cards that I’ve made in the past; I didn’t add box inserts this time so that’s why I’ve called it a Gatefold, 3D Card.

The most recent tutorial for this card fold can be found in my Tutorial Shop –

Darling Donkeys – Gatefold, Double Box Card Tutorial

Thanks for taking an interest and hopping onto my blog today. Feel free to head on over to Facebook and join the group for ideas and inspiration and to play along.

  1. I LOVED LOVED. LOVED the card. Especially the paper. I would love to use it in my Aussie scrapbook. Where can I buy it?

  2. I had a friend many years ago that was from Australia. She gave me an object that was made by the Aborigines. Your paper gave me a since of nostalgia of the days spent with my friend. I still cherish the gift and really enjoyed seeing your card made with this beautiful Aboriginal Designs.
Happy RVing to you and your husband.
