Ombre Double Sided Diorama Card

Hi and welcome to AddINKtive Designs. It was a rainy day in the RV today so I went looking for a card challenge.

I came across the ‘Oh My Ombre’ Designer Take Over Challenge (Charlet Mallett) at TGIF Challenges for #tgifc314 –

It was a good opportunity to try out the new Ombre Specialty Paper. I decided to make a Double Sided Diorama Card (card fold designed by Lou Kitzelman) using the Brilliant Wings Dies and all the colours in the pack.

The butterflies and label sentiment on the card front were die-cut from the Gorgeous Grape, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Ombre Specialty Paper (OSP) and the card base was constructed from a piece of Night of Navy OSP.

The front and back leaves (Pierced Blooms Dies) and butterflies on the reverse side were die-cut from various shades of In Color Shimmer Vellum.

I love the ‘open’ look and all the shimmery butterflies on today’s project. Participating in a card challenge was a fun way to beat the rainy day blues. Tomorrow is a travel day and we’re heading further North to chase the sunshine.

The light was fading by the time I had finished making my card so I put together a make shift ‘photo studio’ on the Cook Top in our Motorhome. You’ll be pleased to know that all my craft supplies have now been packed away and hubby and I did get to eat dinner eventually!

Thanks, TGIF for the fun ‘ombre’ challenge!
