Colourful Daisies Flower Box Card

Hi and welcome to my blog. Tonight I’m sharing an extra special card – I received a request to make a birthday card for someone that was turning 70.

This was the brief – It’s for my mother-in-law. She loves her garden so anything with flowers  – roses, irises, waratah, daisies, tulips etc, with a whole lot of colour. I decided to go with the ‘daisies’ as I just love how quick and easy it is to make up lots of them using SU’s Medium Daisy Punch and Daisy Lane Stamp Set.

When the message came through I was helping a friend make a Planter Box Card full of roses and thought I’d start making a similar one, but then I remembered that I’d had this die set from MFT, like forever and hadn’t used it yet! – pretty sure it’s no longer available through their website.

So I used the Die-namics Flower Box’s main die for the two ends of the flower box to create a 3D card full of daisies –

The rest of the products that I used to create this Flower Box Card are a mix of current and retired items from Stampin’ Up! ®, some of which are listed in the categories section at the top of this post.

Every time I make a card like this, I call myself a Paper Florist! Arranging the flowers takes a lot of thought to get the ‘look’ that I want to achieve.

Now I’m off to design some Thank You Cards that a group of children (aged 10-12) can easily replicate.

Thanks for stopping by,
