Hi there. I’ve got a fun pop-up card to share with you that I started to make about 2 months ago! I’ve been procrastinating over what finishing touches to add to the inside of the card and finally settled on the stickers from the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack.
The Mini Stampin’ Up! ® Shipping Box pops up inside the card which showcases the new 2020-2022 In-Colors, with strips of Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Bumble Bee and Magenta Madness Designer Series Paper.
The front of the card has the fun, bold sentiment from the ‘Ridiculously Awesome’ Stamp Set. I rarely buy ‘sentiment’ stamp sets but couldn’t go past purchasing Ronda Wade’s Million Sales Achiever set that was designed by SU’s CEO’s hubby!
Mini Tutorial
1. Cut off the bottom side flaps and discard.
2. Fold the large bottom flap in half as shown (excluding the tab).
3. Cut along the fold line.
4. Attach Tear & Tape Adhesive to the tab and attach this piece to the opposite side of the piece that is still attached to the box.
5. The bottom of the box should look like this.
6. Fold both sides of the box, including side flaps, in half.
7. Fold the box sides inward.
8. Add strips of DSP (1-3/4″ x 5-3/4″) to the inside of the card.
9. Glue one bottom flap along the inside edge of the fold.
10. Glue the other bottom flap to the inside edge of the fold on the opposite side.
11. It should sit up like this when the card is open.
12. Notice the slight gap between the bottom flaps along the fold.
13. Push the sides of the box inward to close the card.
14. Now you’re ready to decorate the inside of the card.
15. Card Front – DSP Strips measure 5-3/4″ x 1″.
I had good intentions way back in May to make this card for a ‘Live Catalogue Launch’ in June. It’s main purpose was to highlight the fun new In-Colors. The month of June, however, turned out to be different than anticipated. COVID 19 restrictions started to ease in Tasmania and hubby and I took advantage of being able to get out and about! I didn’t get much crafting done at all.
