Dry Embossed Vellum for TGIF Challenges

#TGIFC229 – Technique Spotlight

Hi there. Today I have an aperture box card (pre-cut from Papermania) to share with you for the latest challenge at TGIF.

TGIF Challenges have a technique challenge to use dry embossed vellum on a project so I die cut a circle from Petal Pink Perennial Essence Vellum Card Stock, embossed it with the 3D Scripty Embossing Folder and placed it behind the aperture.

The tree die from Sweet Silhouettes was die-cut from Basic Black Card Stock and then trimmed down  to fit behind the opening. A Petal Pink bird from the Botanical Tags Dies was then attached to the branch to complete the card front.

Lastly, I stamped the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment to the inside of the card with Tuxedo Black Ink and the bird stamp on the envelope with Petal Pink Ink.

That’s all there was to it – clean and simple, quick and easy!
