Shoe Box Swaps

Today I organised a little get together for some Tassie Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators. A group of 3 travelled up from the south of the state and one came from a town just up the river. It was a small group but we had a great time chatting and stamping for a few hours in my craft room.

Mae suggested we do a Shoe Box Swap – design a card and pop everything that you need to make it inside a container about the size of a shoe box. What a fantastic idea. Everybody had a project to work on and it was an efficient and relaxing way to whip up a few cards in a short space of time.

The brief was to design a simple card that could be easily assembled in under 30 minutes. Here are the projects that we worked on today –

It was so lovely to spend time with friends and learn a few card making tips and tricks along the way.

If you saw my previous post you’ll already know that I designed a simple Z-Fold card using the Frosted Foliage Bundle, Snow Globe Scenes Dies and Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper for my Shoe Box Swap. My sample card had a Night of Navy base but I decided to have a different colour for each kit just to make it interesting –

Seaside Spray

Rococo Rose

Purple Posy

Night of Navy

I’m thinking of doing an instructional video for this card to ‘re-boot’ my You Tube Channel so I’ve put aside a kit, bought an Arkon Stand and in theory I’m good to go! It’s time for me to spread my wings. So hop on over to SUBSCRIBE and make sure you click the notifications ‘bell’ so you’ll know when I upload something new.
