Frosted Foliage Shadow Box Card

Welcome to my blog; today I’m sharing a card that I designed with some goodies from the upcoming Stampin’ Up! ® Holiday Catalogue (Release date – 4th September). I hope you enjoy this little sneak peek.

The Feels Like Frost Suite is my number 1 ❤️ in the new catty followed closely by the Still Scenes Bundle so of course I had to combine the two for my first Christmas project for 2019. In my opinion it’s never too early to play with holiday stamps and dies especially because I’ll be going overseas soon and won’t get much of a chance to enjoy them again until my Stamp Class in October!

This type of shadow box took me a couple of days to design. It’s construction is based around the gorgeous Frosted Frames Dies and has a more open look. I was inspired by a Hallmark card that I spotted while shopping at a Walgreens in Orlando last year; although my finished project ended up being quite different to the original source of inspiration.

You can actually pop a small packet of matches in the card base to have on hand when you need to light those Christmas candles, making it a useful display piece as well as a Christmas greeting card.

It has the Frosted Frame in Portrait Mode and I have plans to make a Landscape version later in the month. It folds down ‘flattish’ for posting with the completed measurements being 7″ x 4-1/2″ so it will require a custom made envelope.

Project Supplies available on September 4th – Frosted Foliage Bundle, Snow Globe Scenes Dies, Feels Like Frost 6×6 Specialty Designer Series Paper.
