Hi there. Welcome to my blog. Today I’m sharing the projects that we made for my last stamp class for 2018 but first I’m going to indulge and ‘reflect’ a little on the past year.
This December is such a contrast to any that I have experienced for the last 34 years!! Normally at this time of the year I would be knee deep in report writing (the last four years was all about reading and editing them in my role as Principal), preparing for the end of year Presentation Nights and all the other crazy, fast paced stuff that was associated with ending another school year.
As I spend a little time reflecting, I am so thankful that tomorrow hubby and I can actually enjoy and celebrate our wedding anniversary for a change. Today I have a Workshop scheduled and my mum is coming to stay for a few days. That would never have been the case because work would have been all consuming at this time of the year!
I have LOVED my first year as a ‘young’ retiree. Hubby retired at the beginning of July too and we are having fun researching what Motorhome to purchase and planning some overseas travel as well. We also became ’empty nesters’ a few weeks ago and life is really VERY different to anything that we’ve been used to.
Another big PLUS this year was holding regular, monthly stamping classes in my reorganised craft room –
That photo on the left might shock some people but it pretty much sums up how ‘2017’ felt for me. I don’t know how I managed to create anything in such a mess!
Fast forward to now and here’s what I was up to yesterday –
These were the projects that I designed for my last stamp class for 2018 – three quick and easy fancy fold cards for Christmas. I ran two classes – a morning and an evening one.
The ladies in the evening class completed the projects that I had planned but as there were only two attendees for my morning class, I let them have some ‘artistic licence’ and this is what they created –
I had the ‘Night in Bethlehem’ card out as an example so the ladies opted for that design instead of my ‘Signs of Santa’ one. They scented the star with ‘Holiday Joy’ Essential Oils (doTERRA) combined with Wink of Stella Glitter.
Both ladies also opted for different embossed backgrounds.
As I am currently running an On-Line Christmas Class, to be ‘time savvy’ I wrote the instructions for all three card designs which can be purchased here –
Thanks for visiting. I hope you are enjoying this December in the lead up to the Holiday Season.
Such gorgeous cards. Sounds like a fun class.
I can relate to the “before” pic right now! Seriously considering some extra shelving in my tiny space. I seem to have boxes of fabric everywhere and never have the right piece for my projects!
