My Aussie Themed Swap for Orlando – Scented Eucalyptus Drop Holder

Hi there. Welcome to addINKtive designs! Today I’m sharing the swap I made for some ‘general’ swapping (as opposed to the organised swaps that I’ll be participating in at On Stage Live in Orlando, Florida).

I did an Australian themed swap and designed a ‘Eucalyptus Drop’ Holder –

Do you like my little INSTA Collage that I made with Canva?

I made a couple of ‘prototypes’ for my swaps a few days ago and entered them into a Tic Tac Toe Challenge on Facebook in the group, Aussies Who Love Stampin’ Up! ® for #AWLSU016.

Here’s what I wrote for the challenge –

Hi AWLSU peeps. I thought my Aussie Themed Swap for Orlando fitted into your Tic-tac-toe Challenge this round – #AWLSU016 1)Masculine, Embossing, Rustic, or 2) Nature, Embossing, Ribbon (Does twine count?), or 3) Metallic, Embossing, Stripes. Colours are Old Olive, Mossy Meadow, Mango Melody, Soft Suede, Smoky Slate and Silver. It’s a Eucalyptus Drop Holder and the milk jug has been coloured with Cajun Craze Watercolour Pencil, mixed with Wink of Stella and scented with Eucalyptus doTERRA Essential Oils. I thought ‘candy’ might survive the long flights to Orlando and fair better than chocolate.

I love adding scent to paper craft projects with doTERRA Essential Oils.

It was a quiet fortnight and I was the only one that entered the challenge 🙁  I’m still going to proudly display my badges!

A big thank you to the Admin at AWLSU!

I thought this design was pretty cute until I started making 30 of them! LOL.

Lots of colouring in, lots of die cutting, lots of fussy cutting … so I digressed and thought about changing the design.

I’ve had this idea to make a koala using the cute bear image from A Little Wild for a while now; it turned out fine but I decided to keep going with Plan A as I liked that design better. Someone in Orlando will score my one and only ‘punch art’ koala.

Even though I only made about 30 general swaps, the production line was constant for two days straight and I’m certain that I’ll be assembling most of them with some Tear & Tape Adhesive on the flight to LA.

Precious cargo below! Here’s a container full of approximately 60 Fancy Fold Swaps that will be winging their way to the USA. They took WEEKS to make. For more details about the Organised Swaps that I’m participating in, make sure you check out all my blog posts over the next few days.

See you in Orlando!

PS: I have taken photos for a tutorial but I’d never get my packing finished if I attempted to write and publish it today. Please refer to the product list for supplies used and if you’d like to make the ‘holder’ you can follow the basic directions/measurements in my Chocolate Holder Tutorial –
