Welcome to addINKtive designs. This week I had the absolute privilege of hosting two students from Newstead Christian School for Work Experience. They got to hang out in my craft studio for two days and see first hand what it’s like to run a small business from home.
Day One
Jada and Nadia took to the tasks at hand with absolute ease. On the first day they were assigned the following – 1) To follow the instructions to my Botanical Bridge Fold Card Tutorial and make one for themselves. 2) Prepare kits for the next day’s stamp class.
They also took a few photos of some cards for me to include in a couple of recent blog posts –
Here’s Nadia’s gorgeous card –
Here’s Jada’s beautiful project –
Day Two –
Nadia and Jada did a fantastic job and practically ran the stamp class by themselves, helping the ladies with colour choices and assisting them throughout the session.
The results speak for themselves –
Here’s a Botanical Bridge Fold I made for a Wedding Card. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo of the finished card which had a stamped image of a bride from Wonderful Moments in the centre panel –
It features the beautiful Designer Series Paper from Petal Promenade.
After lunch Jada and Nadia decided they’d like to complete their time with me by making a Sea of Textures Shadow Box Card. I’ll have to show you those projects in another post as I needed to return the girls to school; no time to take photos.
