Colour INKspiration #41

Welcome to addinktive designs and a brand new Colour INKspiration Challenge and CI Crew Blog Hop. You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month. Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays for a brand new colour palette. #CI41 will run until 7pm (AEST – Melbourne Time), Monday, 24th September, 2018.  

For my project this round, I designed a U-Fold Card using the gorgeous frame die from Stitched Labels Framelits. It has two ‘box card inserts’ in the middle and folds flat for posting.  My original intention was to make a bridge fold card but decided not to cover up any of the detailed stitching on the dies. I was happy with the result and if you’d like to learn how to make this fun fold you can purchase the tutorial HERE.

Stampin’ Up! ® had a major colour revamp this year so at Colour INKspiration we’re featuring a Colour Collection for the first challenge each month (2nd Wednesday) until we have showcased them all! The second challenge in the month (4th Wednesday) will be a Pinterest inspired pic as per usual just to mix it up a bit. This month we are featuring the REGALS COLLECTION and you can choose any 3 colours from that range for your challenge project.  We have also changed the rules about what else you can add to the mix; essentially just the Basics – Whisper White, Very Vanilla and Basic Black as well as metallics.

I wanted to use the new Country Home Stamp Set so the images determined what three colours from the Regals Collection I would choose for #CI41.  As my favourite colouring technique at the moment Is blending Watercolour Pencils with a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush, I picked Garden Green, Old Olive and Cajun Craze (with a cheeky smidge of Rich Razzleberry).
