Oh my goodness, it’s been two weeks since I attended Kim’s Sea of Textures Stamp Class and I’ve just gotten around to taking photos of the fabulous cards we made and find some time to write a post. I have spent quite a few days away from my craft room – went on a ‘retreat’ last weekend and then hubby retired from work on Thursday. It’s been good to take some ‘time out’.
I have a couple of friends coming over today to ‘play’ with some new stamping goodies, two card classes on Wednesday and three Design Team Blog Hops coming up, so I’ll definitely have a few more projects to share with you over the coming days!
So, back to Kim’s card class … Kim Oliver, a fellow Tasmanian Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrator drove all the way from Ringarooma to Legana to attend my May Stamp Class – that’s about an hour and forty minute drive! When she invited me to her Sea of Textures Class I jumped at the chance to reciprocate and go on a little road trip of my own to a very beautiful part of Tasmania. Ringarooma is situated in dairy farming country and it was a gorgeous sunny Winter’s day. On the way back home I stopped at the local shops in Scottsdale and bought some fur lined boots and a jumper. This ‘retired’ life aint half bad!
The class was a lot of fun. We made two cards – a Diorama Card and a Shaker Card using the Tranquil Textures Suite of Products. You can find the directions for Kim’s Diorama Card as part of a Tutorial Bundle which is available for purchase; a link is located in THIS blog post –

It was so good to go to someone else’s class for a change, to meet new people, learn new ideas and support a fellow SU Demo.
