Welcome to addINKtive designs and the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop featuring the High Tide Stamp Set.
The SRC are a group of International Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who love to show you lots of creative ways to use your stamps.
I’m so pleased we are featuring this gorgeous set from the Annual Stampin’ Up! ® Catalogue as I truly haven’t given it the love it deserves and today I have three cards to share with you.
For the first card I did a technique called, Emboss Resist where you stamp onto the card stock using Versa Mark Ink, then sprinkle with White Embossing Powder and set with a Heat Tool.
I had my Brusho Crystals out on the table from my Technique Stamp Class the night before, so decided to have a play using some images from High Tide.
I sprinkled a variety of Brusho Crystals onto the Shimmery White Card Stock where I wanted certain colours to appear and gently spritzed water from above so as not to make the crystals spread too much. I then used an Aqua Painter to blend the sea and red sunset areas together a little more. After the watercolouring had dried, I added a few more waves with a White Gel Pen.
Now … onto cards 2 and 3 … before you think I’m a Maestro at brayering, I had better tell you now … I totally cheated with these.
I printed a couple of photos onto Whisper White Card Stock before stamping my images. These photos are of a beautiful sunrise we experienced a few years back while holidaying at Swansea on the East Coast of Tasmania. The birds, grass and split sentiment were stamped directly onto the photo and the lighthouse was stamped on Whisper White, fussy cut and then glued on.
The last one was super simple to do. By checking towards the end of the Product List you will see what I used to put this one together. The birds in ‘flight’ look like they truly belong in that photo.
I just love the fact that these cards were really simple to create.
Lastly, I decided to try out some new Home Decor for a Background Prop for one of my blog post pics! The light house is a tea light holder. Darn! I should have added one before I took the photo.
Up next, we have a fellow Aussie demo and my very talented friend, Lou Kitzelman –
Or you can hop backwards to check out the beautiful project/s from Cindy Elam –
Thanks for hopping by,
