Colour INKspiration #28

Welcome to addinktive designs and a brand new Colour INKspiration Challenge and CI Crew Blog Hop. You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month. Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month for a brand new colour palette. #CI28 will run until 7pm (AEDT – Melbourne Time), Monday 12th March, 2018.  

Kelly chose this gorgeous inspiration pic for #CI28. I absolutely love the colour palette. You can also add other neutrals such as Whisper White, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Very Vanilla, as well as metallics in your project.

I spotted these gorgeous rabbits at Embellish in town the other day and immediately thought they would look cute holding onto some paper daisies for a display at an upcoming market stall.

That idea was quick and easy to put together so I had some extra time on my hands to create an ‘Easter’ basket to go with the display.  My mind wandered to the basket image from the Picnic With You Stamp Set and the coordinating Picnic Basket Builder Framelits. I chose the Framelits as a thank you gift from Stampin’ Up! ® for doing a Display Board at the last On Stage Event in Melbourne and hadn’t cracked them open!

There’s an embossing piece for the basket weave and it was pretty simple to make the basket 3D by adding an extra piece and insert to the middle (more on that one in a future post).  I then combined the leafy stem from Picnic With You with the cute daisy stamp from Daisy Delight to make the small flowers for the basket. Some teeny, tiny eggs would be a good idea to pop inside the basket too!

These challenge colours are perfect for Easter projects or for any occasion.
