If you haven’t already worked it out … I’m totally smitten with Paper Rose Studio’s pretty paper collections and their metal cutting dies … they’re such good quality and so reasonably priced!!
It’s been super hard to resist some of the gorgeous papers of late and when the Lavender & Fairies Collection was released I knew it had to ‘wing’ its way into my collection.
I absolutely love to think of fun ways to make 3D cards using Metal Cutting Dies and when I discovered the Nesting Label 2 Die I could envision so many design possibilities, starting with a Pinwheel Card.
It’s not the first time I’ve used dies for the ‘wings’ on a Pinwheel Card … everything ‘old’ is new again with different products to showcase this time around.
I’m a bit of a sucker for all things ‘cute’ and/or floral so these papers were ‘right up my alley’. It’s also fun to create a card with a few ‘pages’ to show off the lovely ‘patterns’ and embossed die-cuts.
The less patterned piece (woodgrain) is where I’d write a greeting to the recipient. Stay tuned as I have a few more ideas on how to combine these nesting dies with the Lavender & Fairies Collection.
Until then, I’m taking some time out to get the house ready for Christmas and enjoy some family time over the holiday season … see you on the other side of the 25th!
The card below is the first one that I made but wasn’t really happy with how it turned out for the purposes of a video tutorial so I ‘switched gears’ and went in a different direction with the above design.
