Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I have something a bit different to share with you. My lovely friend, Lynne, absolutely adores Lavinia Stamps so I’ve made a special card for her ‘belated’ birthday.
It features the following Lavinia Stamps: Quinn, Fern Heads, Fairy Bugs, Orchard Grass and Mushrooms-Mini, all stamped with black ink onto a Scene-Scape, Spellbound 2 background.
I brushed some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter onto the fairy’s and butterfly’s wings and stamped the HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sentiment from Penguin Place (Stampin’ Up! ®).
Lynne recently gave me this Stamping Pressure Tool to use with my Stamparatus, so of course I had to try it out for the first time while making her card. I’m pleased to say it worked really well and has got me using my Stamparatus again.
As this post goes ‘live’ I’ll be enjoying an Art Journal Class at Bev’s Cross Crafts with Lynne and learning a few different techniques. Here’s what the blurb says – “Make waterfall pages (flip pages) in your art journal and create the story of the rabbit looking for the secret garden using Brushos, inks and Lavinia Stamps”. I’m so excited to be the student rather than the teacher for a change.

Thanks for stopping by,
Your card is so beautiful. Happy belated birthday to your friend. I know you will enjoy your calss, especially taking it with a friend. I wonder if Lavinia stamps are available in the US? looking forward to seeing some techniques you learn. Happy crafting. Dianne Wallace, Independent Stampin’ UP! DEMONSTRATOR.
PS: what website do I fill in for my information, I only have my DBWS I do not have a blog.
Thank you, Dianne. Lavinia is a UK company. I learnt heaps today; lots of fun techniques. I’ll post pictures when I finish all three pages. Don’t worry about filling in the ‘blog’ info when you leave a comment.
Perfect card for a Lavinia loving friend.
I just purchased a stamp tool like that, I have to remember not to put stamps to far into the corner as the tool doesn’t work then. I’d be lost without my stamparatus – don’t know how I ever stamped before!
Lynne actually made the tool from a door knob – too clever!
I’m a bit slow to the party but I LOVE my card…..thank you 💖 So glad you like the pressure tool and it’s fabulous that it’s inspired you to use your Stamparatus. I don’t think I’d stamp much without mine!
Which brand of black ink did you use on your Scenescapes Card? I used Versafine Clair Nocturne but it doesn’t seem to dry properly even after trying to heat set it.
Hi Christine. I used the same ink, Versafine Clair Nocturne and never had a problem with it drying; didn’t used a heat tool.
