Hi there and welcome to my blog; today I’m sharing a Balcony Card for the current Colour INKspiration Challenge.
You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month (on the second and fourth Wednesdays).
The challenge for CI#107 is to make a paper craft project using all the colours from the chosen colour combination, So Saffron, Rich Razzleberry, Blackberry Bliss and Mossy Meadow; you may also add Basic White, Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Crumb Cake, Sahara Sand and Metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Garden Green instead of Mossy Meadow).
Crew Member, Cheryll Miller, chose our inspiration pic for CI#107.

I didn’t get my project made in time for the commencement of the challenge as I had a ‘lot on’ and last week, hubby and I had a mini getaway to the East Coast of Tasmania (pics at the bottom of the post if you’re interested). To top it off, my SU order arrived the day we left (it had sat in the TAS depot for 2 whole weeks before they decided to deliver it!). The order contained this gorgeous, Season’s Blessing Bundle which I was hanging out to use for the CI#107 colour palette.
Yesterday I finally got the chance to start a card and today I inked up those beautiful stamps and put together this Balcony Card. I discovered this Fun Fold on Pinterest and it was THIS one by Lesley Jendra that caught my eye.
The base card is 6”x 6” and scored in half. The front piece is 7” x 1-1/2” and scored at 1/2”, 3-1/2” and 6-1/2”. The inside piece is 5” x 2-1/2” and scored at 1/2”, 2-1/2” and 4-1/2”. I also added two DSP pieces (card back) and two, Basic White brick embossed panels to the card base, each piece measuring (W)2-3/4″ x (H)5-3/4″.
I love the depth that this unique fold has created as a base for my ‘flower arrangement’.
INKspired to join the challenge? It’s so easy. Firstly, get some INKspiration by checking out all of the creations from the Colour INKspiration Crew in the challenge album on our Facebook page. I’m late sharing my card but you still have until Monday, 20th September, 7pm (AEST) to make and upload your creation to the Facebook Colour INKspiration Group. You don’t have to have a blog to participate but if you do, you can link back to your post –
