Hi there and welcome to AddINKtive Designs; I’m Bronwyn Eastley, an Independent Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrator from Tasmania, Australia.
A friend of mine put the ‘call’ out on Facebook today – she wanted to know where she could purchase some craft supplies to make up a Card Making Kit for her daughter for Christmas. Naturally I responded and said that I would put together a few ideas for some basic kits that centred around her daughter’s interests.
Let’s start off with the basics – Stampin’ Up! ® cater for the beginner stamper and there are some great bundles they have put together in their Beginner Brochure.
You can download the 2020–2021 Beginner Brochure PDF from my side bar on the right but be sure to CONTACT ME if you’d like a hard copy mailed directly to you (Australian Residents Only).
You can actually shop directly from my on-line store at – https://bronwynjeastley.stampinup.net
Just click on the SHOP NOW button on the top right of my Demonstrator Business Website to get started! Otherwise, I’d be happy to pop in an outside order for you.

Stampin’ Up! ® have put out some great product videos for all the Beginner Collections. Here’s just a couple of links to give you a more in-depth look into the cards and products in the brochure –
Of course there are the BASICS that you’ll need to get started in card making. A Paper Trimmer is an absolute MUST and should be at the top of the list! Paper Snips (scissors) are a given and then you’ll need some adhesives. Stampin’ Seal is a lot less messy than glue and the Mini Glue Dots are great for adding ribbons, sequins, trinkets etc. The Simply Shammy is brilliant for cleaning your stamps – just add water.

A4 Thick Whisper White Card Stock can make great card bases. Cut a piece in half vertically or horizontally with a Paper Trimmer and use the scoring tool on the trimmer to create a fold in the middle of each piece. Alternatively, card and envelope packs make it easy to get started but making your own will be more economical in the long run.

Here are some alternative ideas that I’ve put together. Each ‘informal’ collection (1-3) contains everything your child will need to get started. Of course if you already have some basic items in your household, just look at the individual products that work well together for each suite.

Stampin’ Up! ® have a great range of punches that the kids will love. They can punch out some coloured card stock or patterned paper and glue the pieces onto cards to create some fun designs.
