Hi, welcome to my blog and a sneaky peek into crafting ‘on the road’. Hubby and I have been in our Motorhome for a little over two weeks now, seeing the beautiful sites on the East Coast of Tasmania. The temperatures have been slightly below average for this time of year so not many ‘beach’ days for swimming and body boarding as we had hoped for. One plus is that I have a small stash of craft supplies with me and today I got to make an engagement card for our niece and her fiancé.
I gave my cute, teeny tiny die cutting machine (from Altenew) a test run as I transformed our tiny dinette area into a temporary craft space.
Of course you’ll recognise that this card is a CASE (has been Copied and Selectively Edited) from the Stampin’ Up! ® Mini Catalogue. As I have limited supplies with me, all the images were coloured with Watercolor Pencils (using no water) after being stamped with Sahara Sand Ink for a ‘no-line colouring affect’. I added some Bird Ballad DSP to the inside and switched the sentiment with one from ‘Beautiful Bouquet’ as it was a more suitable greeting for an engagement card.
I had a lovely view of the Aussie Bush and the sound of the waves crashing against the shore as I crafted in our AVIDA Birdsville.
Of course we checked out the beautiful beach and went for a walk around the popular free camping site at Lagoons Beach. Sadly, the beach has a moderate danger rating for swimming as it has about 10 rips and as I mentioned before, it’s a little too chilly for a swim at the moment. The last week of our Summer has been a bit disappointing weather wise. Nevertheless, we’ve had fun and it sure beats going to work every day!
Thanks for stopping by,

Bronwyn, Your “no-line, no-water’ coloring is beautiful! Your little space is filled with creativity! Very pretty card. I’m sure your niece and fiance’ will be thrilled. Your added beach photos are gorgeous as well as inspirational. Anyone else see some Mountain Air and/or Waterfront stamping?
Such a gorgeus card.
Love your temp craft room and agree it sure would be better than going to work even if you can’t get in the water.
