My Favourite Projects for 2019

Hi there; welcome to my blog. It’s that time of the year when I share my favourite projects for the last 12 months and reflect on the highlights of 2019. I’m also sharing a sneak peek of what you can look forward to in 2020.

Firstly, I want to say a huge thank you to my SU team members, fellow DT members of The Stamp Review Crew and Colour INKspiration, to everyone that has supported me by either leaving encouraging comments on my blog posts, purchasing Stampin’ Up! ® products through my on-line store, attending my Stamp Classes, following me on INSTA, You Tube, Facebook, Bloglovin’ or Pinterest and for purchasing my card tutorials. I really appreciate each and every one of you.

I hope you enjoy looking over my favourites for 2019 –

I’ve linked back to every blog post so you can read more info about each project if you’d like to. Let’s start with January – SALE-A-BRATION is always the best time of the Stampin’ Up! ® year and 2019 did not disappoint. How cute were these frogs and a fun, fancy fold –

January

In February I revisited the Upright Z-Fold Card and it became one of my ‘go to’ card folds for 2019. Colouring with Watercolor Pencils combined with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter was one of my favourite techniques –

February

March saw an absence of paper craft projects on my blog. There were two reasons for that – 1) I was busily preparing for a presentation for the International Stampin’ Up! ® Event in Auckland (On Stage Live in April) and 2) We purchased a Motorhome and getting it stocked and ready to take on the road was a huge project in itself –

March

At the beginning of 2019, I was undecided about whether I’d stay in Stampin’ Up! ® as a demo but I’d already booked my flights and accommodation for New Zealand so was committed until April at least. Quite surprisingly I was approached by the Sydney Head Office to do a presentation at On Stage. I was given the ‘Above the Clouds’ Bundle to work with and it was the highlight of my Stampin’ Up! ® ‘career’.  With the encouragement of our lovely DDM, Clare, I overcame my fears. The whole experience ‘stretched’ me beyond belief and it certainly was a nervous few days in the lead up but thankfully it went off without a hitch. You can check out the You Tube link in my April Blog Post

April

Upright Double Z-Fold

This was one of the tutorials I wrote for my Stamp Class ladies to promote a bundle that was retiring. I didn’t do a lot of projects in May as we ventured out in our Motorhome for the first time –

May

June saw the introduction of the new Annual Catalogue. The Medium Daisy Punch and coordinating stamp set became instant favourites of mine –

June

July was all about finding fun ways to use the Cuckoo Clock Dies

July

August was a mega month! My tutorial for a Snow Globes Gift Card Holder was by far the biggest seller in my Tutorial Store and it’s still selling post Christmas! –

August

I think this was the only card I made in September as hubby and I travelled to Israel for a Study Tour. It’s another Upright Z-Fold Card using some of the holiday products –

September

In October I designed a fancy fold with the Detailed Bands Dies and made a few Pop-Up Panel Cards. This was one of my favourites –

October

My lovely friend, Twila Davis, asked me to be a Guest Designer for 3D Thursday and I made a Peaceful Boughs Pop-Up Planter Box Card. There’s a free PDF download in the November post –

November

After all the wintry Christmas cards, I thought I’d make a more appropriate one for our Aussie Summer –

December

If you’ve read this far, thanks for taking a little trip down memory lane with me. Did you notice I changed the ‘look’ of my blog this year? (Thanks to PNG Tree), I have a lovely, bright, beach theme in blues (my favourite colour) for my blog header and signature –

As you read earlier, I was undecided about staying with Stampin’ Up! ®. Our life has changed for the better since hubby and I retired from our day jobs and bought a Motorhome. Instead of leaving the company, I decided to lessen my involvement with Design Teams and said farewell to the Stamp Review Crew and cut back on projects for Colour INKspiration. Even though I love being on Design Teams, I love ‘not creating to deadlines’ even more; so after being involved with Design Teams for the last 10 years (I started with Just Add Ink in January 2010), I’ve decided to take a break and mainly concentrate on my card tutorials in 2020.

If you’ve followed my paper crafting journey for a while you will remember the AddINKtive Designs Tutorial Team, a group of 10 girls that regularly shared projects that were based on my card tutorials. Some of the team started writing their own tutorials and I still host them in my Tutorial Store.

Starting in February some of the team will reunite to bring you a collection of 3D Paper Craft Tutorials on the 1st day of every month. We’ll kick off with a blog hop so you can view all the projects in the bundle. I’m excited about creating again with this group of talented friends and we’re coming back as The Dimensionals.

Watch out for our Facebook Page and INSTA promo pics coming soon!

To complete my summary of 2019, I thought I’d share again the two projects I’ve made so far with some of the new products from the Mini and SAB Catalogues (launch date – January 3rd, 2020). My honest opinion is that these catties are THE BEST YET.

I’ve had family staying over Christmas so I took a break from paper crafting but I’ll be back in my craft room in the New Year to share some fun projects with you.

My prayers go out to all the first responders and volunteers that are fighting fires in many parts of Australia right now. Trusting that the New Year brings relief in those ravaged areas. It seems a bit ‘trivial’ to say Happy New Year as I close off this post so I’ll end with saying stay safe! I hope 2020 is a positive one and brings you joy and time to be creative.
