Oh my goodness I haven’t blogged much lately; our recently purchased Motorhome has taken over the front lawn and we’ve been busy getting it ready to take on the road.

The View from Inside
So I have a few QUESTIONS for my blog followers and I’d LOVE your input –
- What are we going to name our ‘home on wheels’? Any suggestions?
- What craft items do you consider ‘essential’ for life on the road in your RV?
- Stampin’ Up! ® Demos – I will have limited space under the bed for my paper craft supplies so what do you recommend I take on the road?
- And a question for the Aussies – What Top 3 Tourist Destinations should we visit in your home state that are an absolute ‘must see’ ?
So please leave a comment to let me know your thoughts. If you know of any paper crafters that spend a lot of time in their RVs and they have a blog, Facebook page or Instagram account devoted to crafting on the road, please leave me a link in the comments so I can check them out.
On a side note, I’m off to ‘On Stage Live’ in Auckland, New Zealand in a few week’s time and when I get back I hope to return to some sort of regular blogging and have some sneak peeks of Stampin’ Up! ® projects to share with you.
Thanks for stopping by,
It’s beautiful!!! We have had a 5th wheel trailer for years, and are talking about buying one of these. Will be curious to read about your adventures, and how you like it!!! Congratulations, and HAVE FUN!!!
Thanks, Patti. We’ve been doing a ‘virtual’ tour of America with ‘Keep Your Daydream’ on You Tube. Such an inspiring family. Can’t wait to get this baby on the road.
Congratulations.. on your new RV. Is is beautiful and looks very roomy. Have a great time in it!!!
Thanks, Shari.
Your RV looks great! Have a great time with it. We were “tenters” for the longest time and then we bought a 32’ rv the weekend before we went to Canada! It was great fun and we are taking in National and State Parks on vacations! Driving it through Atlanta was a huge experience for me driving the RV!!! Congratulations!
Wow, Deb, I bet you’re enjoying the ‘easy set up’ and insulated walls of your RV as opposed to the tent. Enjoy!
Comgratulations on you new RV. I am sure you will enjoy it. We pulled our R-POD 179 on a trip to Montana, Idaho,
and Oregon.. I took quite alot of SU supplies for card making. I decided to take less this year, make kits to work on
take some Paper Pumpkin kits to do. I would keep it simple. Trimmer, scissors, adhesive, tools you can fit in your tool case and carry bag. If you have Ink Spots, I would take them and then your refills.
We purchased a Winnebago Micro Mini Trailer this year. We are anxiously waiting for April to take out first outing in it.
I am planing my SU items to take already. Have a great time. Love your Blog.
Thanks for the tips, Shirley. Sadly we don’t have Paper Pumpkin but I’m looking at putting my own kits together. Enjoy your new mini trailer.
Congratulation! May the Lord Bless you both on your safe travels! When will you made your awesome cards. You cant leave your SU things home!! LOL
Thanks Roberta,
I won’t leave them at home.
Congratulations, Bronwyn! We have a 33′ Class A Fleetwood and have enjoyed the RV life for years! My experience with crafting on the road is that I always forgot an essential item and have to make do. If possible keep duplicates in your RV so that you don’t have to pack each time. I tend to stamp images at home and bring coloring to do on the road. Heat embossing and other techniques tend to need too many supplies. You’ll love it, I’m sure!
Thanks for the tips Anita. Colouring is quite relaxing and I love the idea of keeping ‘duplicates’ in the van.
Congratulations hun! It is beautiful!!!! Well if you plan to be crafting a lot while traveling in this, I would name it the “Craftmobile” for sure!!! LOL just fitting indeed! Or i thought about “The Dreamer” … because owning one of these things is a dream come true for so many of us. 🙂 Good luck with it and I wish you so much fun adventures in it! As far as key essentials for crafting- The Stampin Trimmer/ Snips/Shammy/dimensionals and tombow/few packs of current DSP/6 sheets of each cardstock color/and I would go with Stitched Shapes Framelits as you get a little bit of everything, I’d take 3 punches- Scalloped Tag Topper, 2″ circle, & the Classic Label, my Stampin Blends and I would take 5 newer stamp sets. Hope this helps!
Hugs,
Jo
Great suggestions, Jo. Thank you.
Congratulations. Very happy for you. Enjoy every minute in you new home away from home.
Maureen from California
Thanks, Maureen. Looking forward to travelling around Australia (in small chunks).
Vary nice, Happy travels ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thanks!
Looks like fun! Good luck deciding what is essential to take. I know I would struggle if I was going for any length of time cause I would also have to pack at least one knitting project and EPP – I’m afraid I’d have a serious space issue 🙂 Have you checked out Therese at Lostinpaper? She went around the Aus and contained her supplies minimalist level and she did blog a few times whilst away.
Yes a knitting project will be in there too! Lots of UFOs to complete. I think I did check out Therese but didn’t find a lot of info – will check again.
I’d call her tne Stampin’bile. I have 2 tote boxes that stay in the camper. One has basic tools, trimmer, scissors, adhesive, piercer. A few embellishments and twines. The second box has paper, 3 sheets of each color plus full pack of white. A folder for scraps. I have ink spots from PP and a set of incolor markers. Then I pack one bag with stamps and specifics for projects i want to make that changes every time I go.
I love Stampin at the camper. Happy travels.
Thanks for your tips, Mary.
