Hi there! What’s this Aussie girl doing with a Paper Pumpkin Kit you might ask?
Well … a January ‘Valentine’ Kit arrived at my front door a few days ago as a surprise gift from my USA friend, Karen Sagarra. You can read how we met in this blog post HERE.
Karen is from Reno, Nevada and we got a chance to meet up again at On Stage Live in Florida last November. I have gotten to know so many lovely demonstrators in Stampin’ Up! ® and it’s absolutely the ‘best thing’ when you get to meet up at company events. I am really looking forward to Auckland, New Zealand in April for that very reason.
I’ve never owned a Paper Pumpkin Kit (only available in USA and Canada … I think) so it was pretty exciting to receive this super special happy mail. Karen’s accompanying note said … “I can’t wait to see what you make with it”. Oh gosh … no pressure. Ha, ha! My mojo had taken a back seat over summer but Valentine’s Day was fast approaching and I needed to get my ‘butt into gear’. Today was the day!
I started off making a couple of pillow boxes that the kit suggested –
Here are the alternate projects that I made – some Valentine Chocolate Holders –
I was pretty chuffed about how easy it was to put the pillow boxes together and because I’ve made heaps of chocolate holders (and they’re easy peasy too), all four projects were a breeze.
