Come during the summer months! June – late August unless you want to ski in the mountains! Jasper & Banff, Lake Louise are absolutely gorgeous in the summer. Make hotel or RV reservations when they start taking reservations in March or you may not get anything. Have a great time here. Remember the animals are wild, we see so many attacks as tourists try to get close to the elk & goats, sheep & bears to get pics. We only live about 4 hrs from Jasper, Ab. 6 hrs from Banff so we often leave Friday after work & come home Sunday evening. Johnston Canyon is a beautiful hike along the falls.
