Hi there. Welcome to a very special link up/blog hop for ‘Little Miss Croghan’.
The Croghans are expecting a very special delivery in April and we’re celebrating their baby girl with a “girlie” crafty blog hop hosted by Lori Turner. As I am a little ‘time poor’ for crafting at the moment due to BIG commitments at work (documentation for renewal of our School Registration is due this coming week), you may have already seen the card that I made for Lesley and Corey’s baby girl, under the disguise of a Facebook Colour Challenge that I run.
Anyway, today’s big celebration is the REAL REASON I made this card –
I am so excited for Lesley and her hubby and can’t wait to see pictures of their little girl when she arrives. Here’s a quote from Lesley’s most recent blog post –
“My husband has been building a new home for us…it is almost done. The nursery is very small but delightful. It was supposed to be a office/craftroom for me…hahaha…surprise! I have decided on the following (SU!) colours for the nursery…Cameo Coral, Coastal Cabana, Smoky Slate, Basic Gray and White. The walls are a (light) Coastal Cabana and the furniture is all white. The flooring is Smoky Slate with Basic Gray flecks in it and the nursing chair is a gray too. The accent is Cameo Coral…and I love it. Once it is all put together, I will be sure to post some photos”.
I should have taken more notice of her colour scheme for the nursery! What a beautiful combo.
I’ve known Lesley since about 2012 when she first put the call out for Design Team Members for Dynamic Duos. However, I had been following her blog as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator long before that! I was with the DD Team for only four months as I wasn’t a SU Demo for most of 2012 and was trying to find a good work life/craft balance. It was a difficult year and I resigned from all design teams just before our holiday to Fiji to celebrate my 50th Birthday.
My time with Dynamic Duos was pretty special as it was my first International regular DT ‘gig’. I know this hop is all about the Croghan’s soon to be special delivery but I thought I would indulge and reminisce about my time with such a fantastic group of ladies. Thanks so much, Lesley, for the opportunity to be part of the team. I think it gave me the ‘bug’ for colour challenges! LOL
and here’s a little trip down memory lane with a compilation of the other projects I made for Dynamic Duos –
After our trip to Fiji, I re-joined Stampin’ Up! and started a little venture of creating card challenges. My current challenges, CASEing the Catty (now run by Rebecca Scurr) and Colour INKspiration, are both on Facebook and some credit should go to the Challenge Queen, Lesley Croghan, for the inspiration she provides with running successful challenge sites!
