Hi and welcome to my blog.
About a month ago I attended a Mintay Folio Class with LJ’s Crafty Corner at Bev’s Cross Crafts in Spreyton. I learnt a lot in that class and wanted to make another folio while the process was still fresh in my head!
I decided to use a pack of 12×12 Flower Shoppe Basics (instead of 6×6) for my last Design Team Project for Paper Rose Studio just so I could use the ‘left over’ pages to make this folio.
Here’s a combined pic to show you all the beautiful pages of the folio before I stitched it together and added the embellishments.
My Flower Shoppe Basics version has a couple of notepads, a notebook, pockets, belly-bands, tuck pockets (in the notebook), long thin, as well as short side pockets, a double page with side pockets and an extra flap page.
The wax threads in the middle have embossed butterflies attached for extra embellishment. All the page edges were inked with Ground Espresso (Distress Oxide) Ink and the corners rounded for a nicer finish. Lastly, I used the left-over dyed seam binding ribbon from the folio class to fasten it all together.

It’s taken me nearly two weeks to complete this project as I had some DT assignments to make for April and also played a ‘waiting game’ for some wax thread to arrive in the post from EBay. Plus, there was another BIG distraction – our grand fur baby, Elsa.
