Mintay Folio Class with LJ’s Crafty Corner

Hi and welcome to AddINKtive Designs.

Last Friday I attended a Mintay Folio Class with LJ’s Crafty Corner at Bev’s Cross Crafts in Spreyton. We made a folio using 12×12 papers from the Grandma’s Attic range by Mintay. The folio featured various pockets, belly bands, a notepad and notebook. The folio and notebook were bound using a pamphlet stitch.

Cover Page

The bonus mystery make was dying some seam binding ribbon which I used to fasten my folio.

Pages 1 & 2

These pages contain a notepad, pocket and belly band.

Pages 3 & 4

A little tuck pocket and larger pocket feature on pages 3 & 4.

Pages 5 & 6

These pages have a large pocket and a long thin side pocket.

Pages 7 & 8

The wax threads in the middle have paper circles attached for extra embellishment and the double page has side pockets.

Pages 9 & 10

These pages have a large pocket and a long thin side pocket that ‘mirror’ the ones on pages 5 & 6.

Pages 11 & 12

A little tuck pocket and larger pocket feature on pages 11 & 12 and ‘mirror’ the ones on pages 3 & 4.

Pages 13  & 16

I attached another long belly band on page 13 and an extra flap page was added to the back cover.

Pages 14 & 15

Open up the extra flap page to see a pocket on the inside and a tall tuck pocket that contains a little notebook.

Back Cover

All the page edges and ephemera were inked with Ground Espresso (Distress Oxide) Ink and the corners were rounded for a nicer finish.

I thoroughly enjoyed making this folio; Lynne always comes up with some creative designs for her classes. In the next one we’ll be making a Skinnyscape Lightbox … can’t wait!
