Hi and welcome to AddINKtive Designs. I’m back to show you a card idea that turned out to be a ‘dud’ in my book!
When I started playing around with the idea of making the Butterfly Carousel Cards, “this was the initial idea that didn’t quite pan out”.
I thought I’d end up making another Pinwheel Card just using half of the butterfly wings but it didn’t look right so I tried it with the full butterfly folded in half (what you see below).
That idea was ‘salvageable’ so I ended up finishing it off and making, what turned out to be, a cute little note card but I’ll keep working on the design!

I do prefer the symmetrical look of the Carousel Cards using a butterfly die. Anyhow, I thought I’d share with you my thought process; card designs don’t always turn out how you envisaged but persistence is the ‘key’.
