A couple of months ago I joined Creative Memories as an Advisor … I wouldn’t call myself a scrapbooker but I’ve recently started exploring the world of mini albums and junk journals.
CM certainly caters for the avid scrapbooker … hands down … it’s the best company ever … if you’re into all that stuff! It was, however, their 12″ Paper Trimmer that caught my attention so I thought I’d sign up to access that and some of their other fabulous tools for a discount price! The Envelope and Bow Maker was the next ‘must have item’ on my list …
… and then I spotted the Denim Revival Decorative Bundle! It was ‘right up my alley’ and I can certainly envision lots of 3D projects and fun folds that will spring from the contents of this bundle in the near future.
The Denim Revival Decorative Bundle consists of a Paper Pack, Stickers, Embellishments, Frames & Jean Pocket Embellishments and a Variety Mat Pack.
So … today I’m excited to share my first Creative Memories Project; I got to use my favourite tools, along with this cute bundle to create an Envelope Mini Album –
It was a quick and easy project that I made a couple of weeks ago and I’d also recorded an instructional video. However, there was a bit of a hold up with the editing process … I managed to get a good dose of the flu, lost my voice and had zero energy to complete the task … until today.
The size of the envelopes that I made centred around the measurements of the larger photo mats in the Variety Pack (4-1/2″ x 6-1/2″). The Designer Paper was cut into 9″ squares and then aligned to the punch guide on my Envelope and Bow Maker at the 3-3/4″ mark.
Some smaller mats and journalling cards were placed inside the pockets of the album, embellishments were added to form tuck pockets for the photos and some stickers were added to the inside-front flap and middle section. I decided to use a scrap piece of paper to make a belly band and attached a jean pocket (complete with tags) to the front section.
