Stamperia ‘Coffee and Chocolate’ Folio for the 2024 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Hi there and welcome to AddINKtive Designs.

Today is a day of ‘FIRSTS’ for me; first time I’ve entered a Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, first time I’ve made a Folio and first time I’ve cracked open the gorgeous Coffee and Chocolate Collection from Stamperia.

It was a happy ‘accident’ that I came across the Coffee Loving Papercrafters Blog just a few days before the 2024 Fall Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop was due to go live –

So, I decided to make a folio with the beautiful, Coffee and Chocolate and Coffee and Chocolate Backgrounds 8×8 papers in order to participate in the hop!

I tucked a sample of tags and cards from the same collection inside the pockets which contain cute messages of ‘love’ … thinking that this folio would make a great ‘card’ to give to hubby for our 40th Wedding Anniversary next month.

In keeping with the coffee theme I used Early Espresso Cardstock (SU) for the base of my folio and sponged the edges of the die-cut pieces with Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Ink – Ground Espresso.

While looking for a large brad in my stash, I came across one that had a pattern that looked like ‘steam’ from a coffee cup and at the same time discovered some little trinkets – a cup and saucer and a clock face, which I attached to the thin burlap twine that dangles from the brad.

I’ve used a newly acquired set of dies from Uniquely Creative to construct my folio. The dies coordinate with the Flip Folio Albums that can be purchased separately, however, I’ve added some ‘hinges’ to create my own folio base.

I do have a ready made Flip Folio Album that I’ve covered with Gums and Roses Papers ready to decorate and am looking forward to sharing that with you soon.
