Welcome to AddINKtive Designs.
I’m enjoying making mini albums; they’re a great way to ‘show off’ beautiful paper collections and I love the colour blue … Cornflower Blue, Boho Blue, Duck Egg Blue, Denim Blue … so when I saw the Blue Land Collection by Stamperia, I was in love; the beautiful scenes, the background patterns, the gorgeous elements in the Ephemera Pack, all came together to create a very special project.
This mini album (2 pages less than the usual 8) was the ‘card’ I made for our women’s group to welcome Bec, our Senior Pastor’s Wife to our local church family.
After interviewing her during a Q & A time, I discovered that blue was one of her favourite colours too.
I’m on a roll with these Zig-Zag Albums and love to think of ways to incorporate interactive ‘add-ons’ to make them unique.
For this one I attached a thin, 3D Planter Box, filled with flowers from the Ephemera Pack to the inside cover …
some lacy ribbon …
and personalised it with some family photos.
Now that the Zig-Zag Album Class (ran by my friend, Lynne), is officially over, I can finally share some exciting news. Firstly, I’ll be showing you how to assemble these fun albums (various sizes) over on my You Tube Channel very soon – https://www.youtube.com/c/BronwynEastleyAddinktiveDesigns
Secondly, I’ll be demonstrating how to make some interactive ‘add-ons’ for handmade albums.
Thirdly, in collaboration with Lynne (LJ’s Crafty Corner), project sheets with the cutting measurements, basic written instructions and photos will be available to download.
Fun times ahead! I’ll be back in the next day or two to share the album that I made for my niece’s baby shower.
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Beautiful, thanks for sharing
