Notebook Journal Class with Stamperia Romantic Collection – Lavender

Hi there and welcome to AddINKtive Designs.

A couple of weeks ago I attended a class at Bev’s Cross Crafts; My talented friend, Lynne from LJ’s Crafty Corner took the class and we got to make an easy one signature Notebook Journal from a sheet of 12×12 cardstock and an 8×8 paper pad. The signature was sewn into the cover with a simple pamphlet stitch.

Journal

It’s the first time I’ve made a journal like this and another one is already in the ‘works’. I’ve become a little obsessed with watching You Tube Videos so I can learn new techniques for future journal making.  If you’d like some more information on what I’ve shared today, you can find Lynne on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61563543001816

The bonus project that we made in class was a Mini Booklet made from one sheet of 12×12 cardstock and the left over scraps of paper.

Mini Booklet

We used the gorgeous, Romantic Collection, Lavender 8×8 paper pad from Stamperia for both projects and I had a lot of fun finishing off the cute, little booklet at home.

I decided to stamp different Bible verses (Stampendous Stamp Set) onto some die-cut squares to tuck into the pockets –

These mini booklets are a tad addictive so if you’d like to give one a try, here’s a link to a video tutorial for a booklet that is constructed in a similar way –

Have you checked out the 2″ version I made in the previous post … so cute!!

If you only want to ‘pin’ a couple of pics, here are two photo collages for your convenience –
