Ribbed Cowl with a Double Leaf Pattern

Hi and welcome to my blog; the home of AddINKtive Designs (all things paper craft) and now a place for … Daphne Knits.

For those that subscribe to my blog to see my paper craft endeavours, don’t worry, I’ll still continue to feature my card making designs. I’m just wanting to mix it up a little and share my website with some other crafty pursuits.

If you didn’t read my previous blog post, you’re probably wondering where the name ‘Daphne Knits’ comes from. My Paternal Grandmother was Daphne and she taught me how to knit at the tender age of four. My mum (a very talented knitter) then took over the ‘lessons’ and she is still teaching me a few tips and tricks at age 86!

Last year I designed and knitted two cowls for my lovely daughter, Laura. Her name means “of the Laurel Leaves” and her videography business is called, Laurel Films so it was only fitting to feature leaves in both knitting patterns. Today I’m publishing the Ribbed Cowl with Double Leaf Knitting Pattern –

It’s a really soft, ribbed cowl in Alpaca 8ply, featuring a double leaf pattern, knitted in the round. It’s my daughter’s favourite of the two, more so for the slightly chunkier texture of the alpaca wool.

I used 3 x 50g balls of Heirloom Alpaca, 8ply (DK), 50g/95m (6976 Moss Green used in this example) –

To purchase the pattern, just head on over to my SHOP –
