Introducing ‘Daphne Knits’ and a Pattern for a Lacy, Double Leaf Cowl

Hi and welcome to my blog; the home of AddINKtive Designs (all things paper craft) and now a place for … Daphne Knits.

I’m excited to introduce another craft love of mine … knitting!  Daphne Knits has been in the pipe-line for almost a year now and I’ve finally got around to publishing my very first knitting pattern.

For those that subscribe to my blog to see my paper craft endeavours, don’t worry as I’ll still continue to feature my card making designs. I’m just wanting to mix it up a little and share my website with some other crafty pursuits, starting with my love of knitting.

So you’re probably wondering where the name, ‘Daphne Knits’ comes from. My Paternal Grandmother was Daphne and she taught me how to knit when I was only four years old! My mum (a very talented knitter) then took over the ‘lessons’ and is still teaching me a few tips and tricks at age 86!

Last year I designed and knitted two cowls for my lovely daughter, Laura. Her name means “of the Laurel Leaves” so it was only fitting to feature leaves in both knitting patterns. Today I’m publishing the Lacy Double Leaf Cowl Pattern –

It’s a beautiful lacy cowl knitted in Baby Alpaca 8ply, that features a double leaf pattern with ribbed bands and is knitted in the round.

I used three balls of Indiecita Easy Wash, 100% Baby Alpaca, 8ply (DK), 50g/112m (M2222 Green Melange used in this example).

To purchase the pattern, just head on over to my SHOP –
