Welcome to the first Funky Folds Blog Hop.
We are a group of like minded paper crafters who love to make cards with funky folds. Funky actually means “modern and stylish in an unconventional or striking way”… so we are featuring cards that are not your usual rectangle/square portrait or landscape style. Think ‘easel’, ‘pop-up’, ‘gatefold’, ‘z-fold’, ‘shaped’ or 3D cards etc. The list is endless.
All Blog Hops have an ‘anything goes’ theme using any type of ‘funky’ card fold and I’ve made a Pinwheel Box Card featuring the cute stamp set, Taco Fiesta (SU).
Punched balloons were added to the box section of the card making sure they didn’t extend beyond the height of a standard card size envelope. Each page displays various little characters from the stamp set which have been coloured with Stampin’ Blends.
In keeping with the theme of the stamp set I chose to use the colours of the Mexican Flag, red (Real Red), white (Basic White) and green (Shaded Spruce) for my card.
The ‘wings’ of the pinwheel were die-cut from the curved, rectangular dies from Nested Essentials.
This card is based on the Perennial Lavender Pinwheel Box Card that I recently designed –
Up next is Cindy Mitchell-Clark from Texas and I’m keen to see what she has made for our very first Funky Folds Blog Hop –

Thanks so much for hopping by,
Oh so cute Bronwyn. I adore your pinwheel cards. The Taco Fiesta card is so much fun and I love the way you have used the colours of the Mexican Flag as the colour scheme. x
Great fold, love the rounded corners! Thanks for sharing
That is just so much fun Bron. I love the scenes you’ve built on each wing of your card. So fun and such a fab (or should I say funky) fold! x
I love how you showcased this fun stamp set! I agree with Andrea, it was a great idea to draw from the colours of the Mexican flag. Very fitting! 🙂
Oh what a great way to use all the images!
