Hello and welcome to AddINKtive Designs. Today’s card has me humming the tune of Loch Lomond –
O ye’ll tak’ the high road, and I’ll tak’ the low road,
And I’ll be in Scotland afore ye,
But me and my true love will never meet again,
On the bonnie, bonnie banks o’ Loch Lomond.
Hubby and I can’t wait to plan a holiday to Scotland; it’s right up there on the bucket list. Hopefully our dream will become a reality very soon. Until then I’ll enjoy playing with the Beautiful Thistle Stamps and Dies.
I stamped the thistles with Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured them in with Watercolor Pencils (Gorgeous Grape, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow) and then used a Stampin’ Blend Color Lifter to make the colours really vibrant (It seems to be a bit of a trend at the moment thanks to USA Demonstrator, Patty Bennett.
The ‘retired’ Christmas Scottie was a perfect addition to my themed Scottish card which I’ve made especially for my mum for Mother’s Day in May.
This Triple Easel Design is a great card fold to highlight some brand new, 6×6, Designer Series Paper that’s available as an ON-LINE EXCLUSIVE product as from today!! It’s called Hello Irresistible and contains some RETURNING COLOURS – Pretty Peacock and Lost Lagoon. I went searching through my retired stash and found the ink pads and Cardstock for both and chose Soft Sea Foam as my third colour choice for the smallest easel section. The three colours look great together and make a lovely backdrop for the Scottish Thistles.
Like what you see? Most of the products for this card can be purchased from my on-line Stampin’ Up! ® store (You’ll have to wait until May for the returning Cardstock and ink colours). Make sure you check out the on-line exclusive products (like the beautiful papers I’ve used on this card) – https://bronwynjeastley.stampinup.net
The ‘layers’ on this Triple Easel Card allowed me to create a multi-level scene. The instructions for this type of Card Fold can be found in the Triple Easel Cards Tutorial Bundle. Just click on the link below to purchase the instructions –
Thanks for stopping by,
Fabulous. I’ve recently started watching the most recent season of Outlander, this card was another reminder.
