Hello crafty friends; I recently returned from a much needed holiday break with my lovely Stampin’ Up! ® Team Leader and friend, Lou Kitzelman. Lou wasn’t able to attend the recent On Stage SU Event in Sydney as she hasn’t got ‘the all clear’ to fly as yet, so as an alternative ‘team get together’ I flew up to spend a week with Lou instead. Suffice to say, we had the best week ever!
In between sessions in her craft room and dips in the pool, we managed to squeeze in lunch at the local Surf Club and a lovely day trip to Montville. I also received some ‘team training’ and we mapped out the way forward with our Bow-Ho Stampers Tutorial Bundles for 2023. Lou also rekindled my love for Macrame. I’ve only ever made Pot Plant Hangers so it was fun to learn how to make these cute Macrame Christmas Trees.
Apparently there are a few different tutorials on Pinterest/You Tube for various versions of these Christmas Trees and I’ve added a couple of links at the end of this post. They were very addictive to make and let’s just say that a few balls of Macrame Cotton (in various colours) are now winging their way to Tassie!
Lou was in the middle of a ‘production line’ combining the macrame trees with the Designer Tags and this is my version using the gorgeous, Twinkling Lights Dies and Brightest Glow Stamp Set.
Then I progressed to making this gorgeous, medium sized, Macrame Christmas Tree Ornament (tutorial pattern from Cotton Dreamer). I added a loop to the back of the star so it can hang from a Christmas tree or a hook on the wall.
What a fun week! Feeling so blessed.
