Hi, welcome to the second Blog Hop (and INSTA Hop) to celebrate my 60th Birthday in 2022. There will be 6 hops in total, with 6 different themes over 6 months leading up to the big day!
I gathered a few Stamping friends to ‘virtually’ celebrate this upcoming milestone ‘event’ and we have a Sixties Retro Theme for tonight’s hop.
When I looked at the Give It A Whirl Dies I saw that I could cut out the ‘triangle’ segments and add an extended bit of cardstock to the lower-middle section to form a Peace Symbol.
Lots of bright, bold colours (that reminded me of the 1960s flower power era) were used for the die-cut hearts, stars, flowers and butterflies that were then adhered to the front section of the easel card with glue or Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The card turned out kinda funky and not exactly what I envisaged but I thought I’d ‘roll with it’ anyway. It’s bold, bright and busy and sums up ‘sixties retro’. If I was to go the ‘extra mile’, the word PEACE would have been written in ‘bubble print’ and then it would have looked like a poster that I once had ‘blue tacked’ to the back of my bedroom door.
I’m keen to see all the other ideas for this Sixties Retro Themed Blog Hop. Up next is the lovely, Tina Gillespie (part of the Orlando Condo Crew).

Thanks so much for hopping by,
This is super groovy Bronwyn and so vibrantly coloured I feel like I need my sunnies. Such a clever idea to use the Give It A Whirl Dies too!
Well, the Queen of easel cards has struck again! Your flower power card is outta sight, far out and completely boss (can you tell that I’ve been googling 60’s slang? LOL)
Wow Bron, a wonderfully elaborate card. Love all the bright colours and butterfly details. Chantell x x
I always love your creations. This blog hop was so much fun & brought back many happy memories of the ’60s. Thanks for the memories.
Wow! Love your use of colour to give us a definite 60’s vibe. Groovy!
The brightness of this card really made me smile, Bron. Love your creative adaptation of the die, to create the peace sign easel – very clever.
