In Bloom Flowerpot Easel Card for Colour INKspiration #114

Hi there and welcome to my blog; today I’m sharing a Flowerpot Easel Card for Colour INKspiration Challenge #114.

You can find Colour INKspiration Challenges on Facebook and there are two challenges every month (on the second and fourth Wednesdays).Yesterday marked our fifth anniversary for Colour INKspiration Challenges. Woohoo!

The challenge for CI#114 is to make a paper craft project using all the colours from the chosen colour combination, Balmy Blue, Coastal Cabana, Pacific Point, Granny Apple Green and Sahara Sand; you may also add Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, Basic White, Basic Black and other Metallics to your project. We also allow ‘Ivory’ and ‘Bronze’ in the Stampin’ Blends. If you don’t have all the colour palette, feel free to use the closest SU substitute (ie: Pool Party instead of Balmy Blue)

Crew Member, Lou Kitzelman, chose our inspiration pic for CI#114.

Mooloolaba Beach is Lou’s Local beach and I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the Sunshine Coast last year and hang out with Lou at Mooloolaba. We went shopping and had a lovely lunch together. Here’s a pic of us with the beach in the background. What a beautiful part of the world.

The colour palette for the inspiration pic is so fresh and bright and I really enjoyed thinking of ways to incorporate the colours into my card. I didn’t go with a ‘beachy’ theme because I wanted to use the gorgeous Stitched Greenery Die that I’ve had for so long (and never used) and it coordinates beautifully with the Pierced Blooms Dies.

The sweet little bird from Happy Hedgehogs was staring at me on my craft desk so I decided to add one to the flowerpot to complete my card.

  1. Absolutely gorgeous Bron. I can’t believe that we were actually able to catch up last year in that small COVID free window! Seems like an age ago! Miss your face. x
