G’day Fri’yay’ Card Making Challenges – Surf’s Up

Welcome to another G’day Fri’yay’ Card Making Challenge.

Within our Facebook group we focus on challenges with an Australian theme but strongly encourage all our global card making friends to participate.

All you have to do is make a NEW paper craft project inspired by the CURRENT theme, take a photo of your project and upload it to the group.

You can use any brand of paper craft products. There’s no Design Team and no ‘winners’ announced each fortnight. It’s all about having fun and encouraging creativity.

Tonight’s theme is SURF’S Up; even though it’s still Winter here in Australia that doesn’t stop the surfers from getting out to catch a wave or two (even here in Tassie). So, dig out those stamps, dies, papers etc. that feature surfboards, waves, tropical palm trees etc.

I made a Double Z-Fold Box Card and my mind drifted back to our recent holiday in Queensland that we were able to enjoy before another round of border closures and lockdowns set in.

I’m enjoying challenging myself to use some neglected paper craft products that I have in my stash. When it comes to all things ‘beachy’, I have an extensive collection of dies, stamps and papers. Today I’ve used some papers from Kaisercraft for the sand and from Bee Arty for the ocean. The palm trees and ‘surf’s up’ dies are from Cheery Lyn Designs and the surfboard stamp is an ‘old’ one from Kaszazz. The cardstock and ink are of course from Stampin’ Up! ®. Lastly, the wave and hilly dies are from the Slimline Nature Borders set from Sunny Studio.

Thanks for taking an interest and hopping onto my blog today. Feel free to head on over to Facebook and join the group for ideas and inspiration and to play along.
