The Stamp Review Crew – Quiet Meadow

Hi and welcome to the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop. The SRC are a group of International Stampin’ Up! ® Demonstrators who love to show you different ways to use your stamps. Quiet Meadow Bundle

For today’s hop I’ve “jumped on the bandwagon” and made a Pinwheel Card. It’s a very popular card fold right now but I must admit that I didn’t like the look of it at first, until I saw how it ‘rotated’  from page to page.

I did a bit of research and discovered that there are a few versions of Pinwheel Cards out there; I opted to make one with a 5″ x 7″ card base (scored at 1/2″, 1-1/2″, 2-1/2″ and 3-1/2″ along the width) with three ‘wings’ each measuring 5″ x 3-1/2″. This card fold has lots of possibilities and I’ll probably work on my ‘own version’ in the coming weeks.

It’s certainly a great fold to showcase the Quiet Meadow Stamp Set (and Meadow Dies in the Bundle) and I went with some earthy tones and pops of colour.

My favourite part of the process was embossing the Specialty Linen Paper with the Macrame 3D Embossing Folder to create some additional texture. There’s also a new EF coming out in the Holiday Catalogue – Timeworn Type 3D (Release Date 3rd August). It’s gorgeous and it complements the Quiet Meadow Bundle so well.
