‘Well Suited’ Corner Card Tutorial

Hi and welcome to my blog. Yesterday it was our son’s birthday; it’s always been a bit of a challenge to know what sort of card to make him. The last two years I’ve made ones with a Star Wars Theme so I thought I’d better do something a bit different this year. The release of the ‘Well Suited’ Suite in the current Mini Catalogue was very timely (You can download a copy – link in side bar) and I loved how easy it was to make a masculine card with the fun dies and Designer Series Paper.

Of course I had to make a 3D card so decided on a Corner Card Fold –

Last week we were ‘glamping’ in the Central Highlands of Tasmania with little or no internet access and to top it all off, my MacBook decided to play up. After about 48 hours of frantically trying to make graphics, edit photos, finish writing my tutorial and editing others for The Dimensionals February Tutorial Bundle, I thought my laptop had died completely. I’ve since discovered that it will work as long as I don’t open it more than 45 degrees or the backlighting will disappear and I’m left with a black screen. Apparently it’s a fault with this ‘era’ of MacBook Pros.

Anyway, I had spent quite a bit of time taking lots of photos in preparation for writing a tutorial for this Corner Card and didn’t think it would eventuate. My craft studio in our RV looked a bit like this –

Now we’re back ‘on the grid’ and my MacBook is propped up with a rolled up pair of socks, I’m all set!

So back to the Corner Card! Here’s a view of the front and back of Ryan’s finished Birthday Card –

Thankfully, I was able to publish a tutorial for this project and you can find it here –

  1. Well you persisted! and got there in the end. Isn’t it painful when technology doesn’t work like we expect it to!

Love your card. This bundle is on my list! it is perfect for male cards. My January birthday boy got stitched triangles, which reminds me I haven’t taken a pic of that yet.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave some comment love. I read and appreciate each one. Thanks for visiting addINKtive designs.
