Sweet Strawberry Owl Punch Art

Hello THERE.

Today I got to play with some new products from the upcoming Mini Catalogue (release date – January 5th). I’ve teamed up the Sweet Strawberry Stamp Set and the Strawberry Builder Punch to create a cute, little, punch art owl.

I stamped the wings (large leaf), eyes (flowers), ears (small leaves) and body (strawberry) with Soft Suede Ink onto Soft Suede Card Stock: the claws and beak (small leaves) were stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink onto Pumpkin Pie Card Stock and then all the pieces were punched out using the Strawberry Builder Punch.

Leaf stems were snipped off and discarded. The large leaf was cut in half to form the owl’s wings, only one leaf was needed for the beak and two leaves were snipped apart for the owl’s ears.

The owl pieces were assembled using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and half a Stampin’ Dimensional under each wing. White Elegant Faceted Gems were added to the centre of the owl’s eyes.

I embossed the Bermuda Bay, Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper (earn FREE during Sale-a-bration starting on the 5th) with the Woodland Embossing Folder for the background mat, stamped the Granny Apple Green Oh So Ombre DSP (cut from a Stitched Rectangle  Die) with the large leafy stamp from Sweet Strawberry and finished off the card with some Faux Suede Ribbon.

Starting today I hope to share a couple of simple card sketches every month in 2021. Here’s the first instalment and the one that I used for today’s card –
