Chalkboard Easel Card

Hi and welcome to AddINKtive Designs. I have something a bit different and fun to share with you; it’s a Chalkboard Easel Card which I made to use as a special ‘prop’ for my talk at church today for ‘Home Grown Sunday’ (ART, MUSIC, PREACHING, CRAFTS by the Congregation). I’m sharing a snippet of my ‘life journey’ and also a selection of photos of my cards (Due to COVID regulations we can’t have any items on display this year).

I knew my lovely friend, Debbie Henderson, had shared a Chalkboard Easel Card a couple of weeks ago, so I headed to Debbie’s blog to watch her instructional video and make one for myself.

I pulled out a Bible Verse Stamp that I purchased from Verve about 12 years ago! Sadly, the company has closed shop. I loved their stamps.

To decorate the card I used the Parlor Palm Die Set from Altenew …

… the Lumber Texture Fades 3-D Embossing Folder from Sizzix, The Pot-Pourri Stamp Set, Macro-Made for You Die and Macro-Made Fillers Die from The Greetery.

The Card Stock and Ink are from Stampin’ Up! ® – Card Stock: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Basic Black, Shaded Spruce, Garden Green, Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow, Ink: Versa Mark (with White Embossing Powder), Whisper White Craft, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce, Merry Merlot

I seriously don’t know why it took me so long to crack open my 2019 purchases from The Greetery; the macrame hanger is so darn cute!

Thanks for stopping by,

For anyone interested, my talk starts around the 1h 30 mark –

  1. Love your card, so pretty, and so weird not to be being to Stampin’ up board. Thanks for sharing the video as well, I have flagged to watch when i have more time. I remember Verve stamps as well!

  2. 3 fleeces! Loved hearing your talk and how God has worked in your career life. As a current teacher hoping to “freestyle” at the end of this year, I felt a kinship with you! 🙂 I started in Christian school and am now teaching in public school. It’s been a journey and this year is one I could never have expected even after last spring. Wishing you well and the Lord’s blessings – thanks for sharing your talk and your talent!

  3. Hi Bronwyn
I live in the UK and I follow you on Facebook. I first found your 3D baby cot card and was hooked on your designs. I am also a Christian and watched your talk. You’re obviously quite a character and I loved your story of reluctant obedience. Well done girl. Very proud of you.
Just as an aside do you know of any other scripture stamps available online?
    Many blessings
    Janet

    1. Thanks for leaving such a sweet comment. A lot of stamp companies have scripture verses – I really haven’t had a good search as yet but after our trip to Israel last year I wanted to buy an Olive Tree stamp, so I did a search and found a local company that sold a lovely stamp set. ‘Google’ is your friend.

Thanks so much for taking the time to leave some comment love. I read and appreciate each one. Thanks for visiting addINKtive designs.
